Our story
An idea that began with the building
DOM opened in 2019, developed by Lemonakis SA and designed by interior designer Mr. Lemonaki Valia. Set in a quiet building just a few streets back from the Venetian harbour, it was created with a more intimate vision in mind. A place that feels closer to a private residence than a traditional hotel, where each room is thoughtfully considered in its own right.
A few years on, the spirit remains unchanged: a small collection of thoughtfully designed rooms, a dedicated team who know them intimately, and a calm rhythm that reflects the character of the old city rather.

Materials that age well, light that moves
The palette is drawn straight from Crete — sandstone and olive wood, warm lime plaster, linen, brass gone soft with handling. Nothing is loud. Nothing asks for attention.
Rooms are planned around the light: where the morning falls, where to set a chair for the afternoon. The result is calm by design — a place that feels older and quieter than its years.
