Our story
An idea that began with the building
DOM opened in 2019, developed by Lemonakis SA and designed by interior designer Mr. Lemonaki Valia. Set in a quiet building just a few streets back from the Venetian harbour, it was created with a more intimate vision in mind. A place that feels closer to a private residence than a traditional hotel, where each room is thoughtfully considered in its own right.
A few years on, the spirit remains unchanged: a small collection of thoughtfully designed rooms, a dedicated team who know them intimately, and a calm rhythm that reflects the character of the old city rather.

The interiors reflect the natural beauty of Crete, with warm textures, earthy tones, natural wood, stone, linen, and carefully selected materials throughout. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to create a space that feels calm, timeless, and effortlessly welcoming.
The rooms are designed around natural light, with careful attention to how the morning sun enters and where the afternoon light rests. The result is a sense of calm by design, a space that feels quieter, more timeless, and more settled than its years.
